However, Saturday will see fourteen games being played, our featured game between the Vancouver Canucks, who lost to the Boston Bruins last year three games to four to take runner up at the Stanley Cup Finals, and the Edmonton Oilers. On Thursday, September 22nd, the Vancouver Canucks will travel to Edmonton to take on the Oilers in a head to head match that starts out the new season of hockey. The NHL officially began on Monday with four games and on Thursday there are five big games happening. The Canucks are the runners-up from last year's Stanley Cup finals, losing to the Boston Bruins, who took their first Stanley Cup since 1971, three games to four. On Thursday, besides the Vancouver and Edmonton game, Colorado and Dallas play as well as Chicago and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
