The new season of play for the National Hockey League is upon us, and we have a game on the very second day that the teams play between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the New York Rangers. The Penguins were able to earn more points last year than in the recent years past. They had 108 when it was all over but the year before they only 106. In the 2009-2010 season they ended up with 101 and before that just 99. They were second in the Atlantic Division when it was all over last year, with 82 games played and 51 wins beneath them. They lost 25 games and ended up with 6 overtime losses with a total of 108 points. That means that the new York Rangers, who were in the number one spot, earned it by just one point.
