The New Jersey Devils will play host to the New York Rangers this weekend, on Friday, September 23rd. This is the first week of the season for the NHL, and we are all still probably recovering from the Stanley Cup surprise win last year by the Boston Bruins, who haven't won a Stanley Cup since 1971. The Vancouver Canucks came in second in the Stanley Cup finals, with the Bruins taking it four games to three. The Rangers and the Devils will play at 7:00PM on Thursday, joining eleven other games that happen that day including Buffalo at Toronto and Philly and Detroit.
The New York Rangers were third in the standing last year. They ended up above New Jersey and the New York Islanders.
